Accessibility Statement
How this website works for everyone, what we have built in, and how to reach us if something is in your way.
1. Our commitment
ACE Performance wants every customer to be able to find us, learn about our services, and book an appointment, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We are working to make aceautomotivepasadena.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice and California courts.
2. What we have done
- Keyboard access. Every menu, button, accordion, review control, and the photo viewer can be operated with a keyboard. A "Skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab on any page. The Escape key closes menus and dialogs.
- Screen readers. Pages use proper landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), a logical heading structure, descriptive link text, and text alternatives for images. Decorative motion and duplicated scrolling content are hidden from assistive technology. Links that open a new tab say so.
- Color and contrast. Text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text and controls, and information is never conveyed by color alone.
- Motion. The Site respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting. The scrolling reviews have a Pause button, and the Accessibility Adjustments panel can stop all animation.
- Text size and zoom. Text can be resized with your browser and with the Accessibility Adjustments panel up to 140% without losing content. The page never blocks pinch-to-zoom on phones.
- Forms. The Site itself contains no forms. Booking is handled by AutoOps, and you can always book by phone instead.
- Language. The page language is declared, and words in other languages are marked so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
3. Accessibility Adjustments panel
The round button in the lower-left corner of every page opens a panel with these options. Your settings are saved on your device only.
- Text size: increase page text in steps to 140%.
- High contrast: pure black background, white text, and stronger outlines.
- Readable font: switches all text to a plain sans-serif typeface.
- Highlight links: underlines every link.
- Text spacing: wider line, letter, and word spacing.
- Stop animations: freezes the slideshow, scrolling reviews, and all transitions.
- Reset all: returns to the default view.
The panel is a convenience layered on top of an accessible site. It is not a substitute for the underlying fixes above, and it is not a third-party overlay; it is part of our own code and sends no data anywhere.
4. Known limitations
- Third-party services. Online booking (AutoOps), the optional Google Map, our Indeed job listing, and social media pages are operated by other companies and may not meet the same standard. If any of them is a barrier for you, call us at (626) 584-9730 and we will book, give directions, or take an application by phone.
- Photographs. Gallery photos have short descriptions naming the vehicle and the type of work shown. They do not describe every visual detail.
- Background slideshow. The home page slideshow is decorative and is hidden from screen readers.
5. Visiting the shop
If you have accessibility needs for your visit, such as parking close to the entrance or help with vehicle drop-off, call ahead and we will arrange it.
6. Feedback and contact
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or want content in a different format, please tell us. We aim to respond within five business days.

7. Technical information
The Site is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and does not depend on JavaScript to display its content. It is tested with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, a 320-pixel reflow check, operating-system reduced-motion settings, and automated contrast checks at desktop and phone sizes. The most recent automated review (axe-core 4.10, WCAG 2.1 A and AA rule set) of every public page was completed on September 16, 2026 with zero violations reported, and automated results were paired with a manual keyboard and screen-reader structure review as the U.S. Department of Justice recommends.
