1. Who we are
This website, aceautomotivepasadena.com (the "Site"), is operated by Ace Automotive & Tires Inc, a California corporation doing business as ACE Performance ("ACE," "we," "us," or "our"). We are an independent automotive repair facility located at 1536 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91106.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to satisfy the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and describes the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA").
2. The short version
- The Site has no contact forms, accounts, logins, or checkout. We never ask you to type personal information into it.
- Online booking happens on AutoOps (aops.cc), a separate scheduling service, under its own privacy policy.
- The only optional tracking on the Site is a Google Ads conversion tag. It does not load unless you click Accept in our cookie banner.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals.
- The Site is not directed to children.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us directly
When you call, email, text, or visit the shop, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address, vehicle year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage, and a description of the concern. At the shop we also record the information California repair law requires on written estimates and invoices. This information is collected in person or by phone, not through the Site.
3.2 Information collected automatically when you use the Site
- Hosting logs. The Site is hosted by Netlify. To deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and timestamps. See the Netlify Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads measurement (only with your consent). If you click Accept in our cookie banner, a Google Ads tag loads and sets cookies (for example
_gcl_au). Google then receives your IP address, the page URL, an advertising click identifier if you arrived from one of our ads, and browser and device information. We use this only to learn whether our ads lead people to click "Book Online." If you decline, the tag never loads and nothing is sent to Google Ads. See the Google Privacy Policy. - Google Fonts. The Site's typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to set cookies or build profiles. See Google Fonts privacy information.
- Google Maps (Contact page, only on request). The interactive map on our Contact page is loaded only if you have accepted cookies or you click "Load Google Map." When it loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address and approximate location. A plain-text address and a link to directions are always available without loading the map.
- Preferences stored on your device. Your cookie choice (
ace_consent) and any Accessibility Adjustments you select (ace_a11y) are stored in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
3.3 Information from other sources
We do not buy personal information about Site visitors, and we do not combine Site data with outside data. Google Ads reports to us only aggregate conversion counts, not the identity of any visitor. If you apply for a job, your application is submitted to and processed by Indeed under Indeed's privacy policy; we receive what you submit there.
4. How we use information
- To display, secure, and improve the Site.
- To measure whether our advertising works, only after you accept cookies.
- To schedule and perform vehicle service, prepare estimates and invoices, honor our warranty, and keep the records California law requires.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of our customers.
We do not use information collected through the Site for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. How we share information
Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services for us: Netlify (website hosting), Google (advertising measurement, fonts, and maps, as described in Section 3), and AutoOps (online appointment scheduling, if you choose to use it). Each may use the information only to provide its service to us or as described in its own privacy policy for services it operates independently.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ACE, our customers, or others.
Business transfers. If ACE is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records may be transferred to the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy until it is updated.
No sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. When you accept cookies, Google may associate your visit with an ad you clicked in order to report a conversion to us; you can withdraw that consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and storage item used on the Site, who sets it, how long it lasts, and how to control it. In summary: without your consent the Site uses only first-party local storage for your preferences. Advertising cookies are set only after you click Accept.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Advertising cookies are not loaded, and the cookie banner is not shown. You may still choose to accept cookies through the Cookie Settings link.
Do Not Track (DNT). There is no accepted industry standard for responding to DNT signals. Because no optional cookies are set without your explicit consent, the Site does not change its behavior in response to DNT.
8. Third-party websites and services
The Site links to services we do not operate, including AutoOps (online booking), Google Maps, Google and Yelp review pages, Indeed, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Those services have their own privacy policies and terms, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information to them.
9. Your California privacy rights
The CCPA gives California residents the rights listed below. Our business may fall below the revenue and data-volume thresholds that make the CCPA mandatory, but we honor these requests for everyone as a matter of practice.
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, repair records we must keep by law).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we honor GPC signals as an opt-out.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to submit a request
Call us at (626) 584-9730, email aceautomotive.corp@gmail.com, or write to us at 1536 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91106. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask for written proof of that authorization. We respond within 45 days and do not charge a fee for requests.

10. How long we keep information
- Hosting logs are retained by Netlify for a limited period under its own policies.
- Google Ads cookies expire after 90 days; your consent record is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Accessibility preferences stay in your browser until you clear them or use the Reset option.
- Estimates, invoices, and repair records are kept for at least three years, as required by California Business and Professions Code Section 9884.11, and longer where warranty or legal obligations require.
11. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and is a static website with no customer database behind it. Shop records are accessible only to staff who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.
12. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
